LIFE OF THE CHURCH

ADULT EDUCATION FOR APRIL 15 : Anne Shelton will lead us in an exploration of World Hunger with the class, “ Reducing World Hunger”. "When did we see you hungry?" “What is the need?” “How can we help?” These are some of the issues and concerns we will address in our class. Join us in Anderson Lounge at 9:00 a.m.

HOT WATER AND MUSIC ! What do these have in common? The water heater in the CFC kitchen and the Baldwin grand piano in the sanctuary both require repairs. A new water heater will cost $3350 and the piano repairs are $5750, both exceeding what is in each budget. Can you help? Please make checks payable to: First Presbyterian Church and note “Hot Water” or “Piano.” Thank you!!!

FAIRLY TRADED COFFEE is served at our Fellowship time (currently only Regular, not decaf). Your donation helps defray the added cost of this coffee which we purchase to help the small coffee growers. A hearty “Thank You!” to Presbyterian Women who purchased a coffee grinder to grind our Fairly Traded Coffee beans!

DRIVERS NEEDED! Interested in serving others by driving a church van? Or serving as a “shotgun?” Come to a Training and Review meeting on Sat. April 28 from 9-11am to learn more about it. For more info contact Alice Williams 687-0754 or Geri Willoughby 455-8190

PRAYER REQUESTS : The Prayer Chain is available to pray for your needs. In the Narthex is a Prayer Box provided by the Congregational Care Ministry. Please fill out a request form and leave it in the box, or call Chuck at 687-0754, x 102. All prayer requests are kept confidential.
