LIFE OF THE CHURCH THE FLOWERS this morning are dedicated by Petria Ingram in deep appreciation and thanks to our Lord for all this precious church has meant to her, and wishes for a blessed and joyous Advent season. Following the service the Deacons will take the flowers to those who are ill or homebound and unable to attend worship. THE LOOSE OFFERING THIS MORNING will go to the Deacon’s Fund to aid in their ministry of caring. FAITH AND LITERATURE Women’s reading group will meet Wed. One need not be either a Biblical scholar or a knowledgeable musician to appreciate the Messiah . However, this may be an opportunity to gain more appreciation for the music, the lyrics, and the Biblical passages on which they are based as we listen and consider this magnificent work of the Advent season. CHRIS CALLISON RECEIVES GOOD PROGNOSIS Mission worker Chris Callison received word on Nov. 24 from her doctors in Berlin, Germany that cancer cells did not have the chance to invade her lymph glands, liver, thyroid or lungs, all of which were tested. Philip Prasad of Witnessing Ministries of Christ (India’s Untouchables) and Nita Hanson of God’s Hidden Treasures (Ukraine ) minister to the oppressed.
