Some of you will remember when our church services on Sunday mornings were broadcast over radio station KTMS. This started in 1968 with music recorded by the choir led by Dr. Walter Buchanan, organ music by Emma Lou O’Brien, and a message by Rev. Lawrence Fisher or Rev. Walter Ray. For a while in the early 1980’s, with a recorded introduction by the choir and organ, the sermon by Rev. Robert Pryor was broadcast directly from the pulpit. But the timing problems and the dropping off of listenership caused the effort to be discontinued in order to encourage attendance at the actual services .
