Sign Up for Your LifeTouch Directory Portrait Session by Jan. 21 and Possibly Win a $50 Gift Certificate for Photographs!
We encourage you to sign up for your Portrait Session as soon as possible. There are three easy ways:
1. Sign up online. It's easy and only takes a few minutes. This can be done at any time day or night, except that on Saturday at 9 pm we "shut down" the online sign ups in order to print pages for Sunday morning sign ups at tables (see #3 below). The online sign ups are switched back on as soon as the Sunday table sign ups are recorded. Just click the link/image below to sign up online.
2. Sign up by calling Juleine at the church: 687-0754
3. Sign up at a table before or after services on Sundays: Beginning Jan. 10, tables will be set up after the 9 o'clock and 10:30 services. Look for the signs and the friendly volunteers!

Christmas Eve at First Pres
Our church was a beautiful place of coming together on Christmas Eve. Thanks to all who participated in the service, and a special thanks to all of the children who made the tableau come to life, with just a little help from Sue Croshaw!

Star Word Sunday
You will have an opportunity to reflect on what your 2009 word has revealed to you and we will pass out our 2010 words.

A letter from Steve Jacobson:

Dear Friends:
Next Wednesday, Dr. Christina Puchalski will be giving a free public lecture on emerging trends in spirituality and health care.  She is a wonderful, insightful physician.  Her visit to Santa Barbara is cosponsored by Hospice of Santa Barbara, Visiting Nurse and Hospice Care, Cottage Health System, and the Alliance for Living and Dying Well.  The lecture is free and will be held at the Unitarian Society, 1535 Santa Barbara Street. Please include an announcement in your weekly bulletins or agency email lists if possible.  Below I've included both a summary paragraph and a full description of her background if you are interested.  Please forward and pass on to any people or groups you think might be interested.  Call me if you have questions. Thanks! Steve Jacobsen
