PresbyKids

at First Presbyterian Church

Church School 9:00 A.M. Sundays

On Sunday Mornings our congregation gathers for an informal style service in the CFC or adult education in the Anderson Lounge at 9:00 AM .  Presbykids, ages 2 years old to 6th grade, begin the morning in the church service and go to Sunday School classes after the children’s sermon. Children are welcome to stay in the service if they prefer it; there is a carpeted Quiet Activity Center for their use. If you would like a schedule of classes or have other questions you can contact Susan Croshaw Director of Children’s Ministries.

Church School 10:30 A.M. Sundays

On Sunday mornings our congregation gathers for a traditional style service in the sanctuary at 10:30 AM. Presbykids gather in the back of the sanctuary for quiet activities and crafts. Children ages 4 and up are welcome to join us independent of parents. We ask that a parent or older sibling stay if needed for children under 4 years old. Children are welcome to stay in the service if they prefer it.

Beginning September 2, 2007, We will be beginning a Presbykids Sunday School class for Toddlers and Pre-K at 10:30. If you would like a schedule of classes or have other questions you can contact Susan Croshaw Director of Children’s Ministries.

Nursery Care

Children of all ages are welcome at our worship services on Sundays and parents are welcome to keep infants and toddler with them. We have a lovingly staffed nursery that is open from 8:30 until 11:30 every Sunday. From 8:30 to 10:10 the nursery is located on the lower level in room 208 (across from the elevater). From 10:20 – 11:30 the nursery is located at the front of the sanctuary in the session room (you can access the nursery from inside the sanctuary or from the patio). Both rooms are equipped with audio equipment so the service can be listened to. We use a vibrating pager system in which parents will be called if they are needed back at the nursery. If you need information about our nursery please contact Susan Croshaw Director of Children’s Ministries.

Parenting

First Presbyterian Church supports parents as they develop parenting skills. Periodically classes are offered for parents of young children, parents of teens, and for parents of any child who wishes to focus on a specific topic such as sexuality, media violence or learning about God. Often these classes are developed due to expressed parent interest. If you would like to participate, contact Sheri San Chirico for Junior and Senior High classes or Susan Croshaw for Infant, Toddler and Children’s classes.
