Evangelism

We invite you to become involved with mission and evangelism at “First Pres.”

Countless people have found that serving in God’s mission is enriching and fulfilling.

Why serve in mission?  Primarily, God calls us to be in mission:

“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.  Go therefore and make disciples
of all nations…” (Mt 28:18-19)

The Christian faith is an expanding faith.  God’s mission began with His call to Abraham (Gen. 12:1-3),

found fulfillment in Jesus Christ,  went beyond Palestine through Paul, Peter, and the other apostles,

and continues today with the followers of Christ (you and me).

“Holy Conversation”

We are using the book Holy Conversation by Richard Peace as a manual for speaking openly and authentically about our faith when we are with friends and acquaintances.

Alpha Course

The Alpha Course has been presented at FPC for six straight years.  Masterful presentations and community building are characteristics of the Course.  Alpha is a powerful tool of evangelism.
