Senior Activities Center

The Senior Activity Program is a project of the First Presbyterian Church serving people 55 years or older.

Anyone can join the group. You don’t need to be a member of the Church. The group meets in the Garden Room every Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. except on major holidays.

The program consists of a gathering time with coffee and snacks, followed by a program time which may be health education, community speakers, music, games, films and many other interesting presentations.

A licensed senior trainer is provided each Friday for a 40 minute exercise program beginning at 11:15. This is especially designed for seniors. A nutritious lunch is enjoyed at the noon hour in the Christian Fellowship Center. After lunch games and sharing time is always planned until 2:00 p.m.

The Senior Activity Program has a dedicated committee consisting of Nancy Johnson, Coordinator, James Aanerud, Wilda Irvine, Betty Rupp, George Dubbels. The committee meets the first Wednesday of each month at 1:00 p.m. to plan programs and assign duties. Ideas and suggestions for programming are always welcome.
