Casey Molino Dunn

DIRECTOR OF MUSIC MINISTRIES

Casey Molino Dunn is a versatile musician who has worked as a baritone vocalist, pianist, organist, and music director/conductor. Over the past twenty years, he served as the Director of Music at Presbyterian and Congregational churches in the NYC metro area (Chatham and Rutherford, NJ) and upstate, in East Rochester, NY. He led traditional and contemporary worship services at each church, increasing youth and adult choral participation and developing praise bands, bell choirs, and multi-genre concert series.

Active on opera, musical theatre, and concert stages, his performances span from Papageno in Mozart’s The Magic Flute (NYC and NH) to Sondheim’s Passion (Miami, FL). He is a former chorister with the New York City Opera, was an ensemble member for the East Coast premiere of Andrew Lippa’s theatrical oratorio I Am Harvey Milk with Kristin Chenoweth at Lincoln Center and sang with the Princeton Singers. As a keyboardist, Casey has played community performances for the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra’s pops series and the Baroque Orchestra of New Jersey. 

As the Vice President for Innovation and Program Development at Santa Barbara’s Music Academy of the West (2020-2023), Casey played a pivotal role in operations and expanding year-round career-advancing initiatives for fellows and alums. Before relocating to California, Casey led Manhattan School of Music’s Center for Music Entrepreneurship, where, for many years, he taught collegiate courses focused on equipping musicians with the skills needed to be the CEO of their careers. He previously held related positions at Eastman and Juilliard schools, plus Hunter College, City University of New York. Formerly a music publicist, Casey secured significant media coverage and produced special events for artists at all stages of their careers, including André Previn and pianist Simone Dinnerstein. 

Casey graduated Phi Beta Kappa from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with bachelor's degrees in music and communications. He holds a Master of Music degree and Arts Leadership certificate from the University of Rochester’s Eastman School of Music. A native of eastern Pennsylvania, he enjoys traveling with his husband and their son.
