Charles “Chuck” Curtis

COMMISSIONED LAY PASTOR

Known by all except my mother and sister as “Chuck”, I have been on the staff of First Presbyterian Church since 2006, serving voluntarily first as Director of Mission and Evangelism and then as Commissioned Lay Pastor for same. Also, I direct the annual Santa Barbara Mission Conference. Why mission? Among the many reasons: my alma mater is Williams College, the birthplace of American foreign missions (Haystack Meeting of 1806). My wife, Cora, and I have two adult sons and one grandson. We enjoy our lives in Santa Barbara, but we also enjoy traveling. Having grown up in St. Charles, Illinois, I am a lifelong Chicago Cubs fan. My life became sweeter on November 2, 2016, when the Cubs took game 7 of the World Series.
